Music Lessons
Katie Davidson - Voice, Piano, Preschool Music

Katie Davidson, a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Voice Performance, has been teaching private voice and piano since 2003. Katie believes that studying music should be a joyful, enriching experience that provides the student with feelings of accomplishment and drive to grow as a musician. Music lessons focus on building a core technical foundation while developing expressive musical communication. She provides numerous performance opportunities throughout the year including studio recitals and participation in local contests. Past recitals have taken place in formal venues as well as local coffee shops. Many of Katie's students are active participants in their school musicals and choirs. Additionally, Katie teaches a young pre-piano class, Kids on Keys, for ages 4 - 7 years old. This course is designed to prepare a young student for private music study by starting in a group setting learning music through games, singing, and piano. Katie has vast experience working with children with special needs, including language delays, Autism, and physical disabilities. In addition to teaching, Katie holds a Masters in Speech Language Pathology with a specialization in voice disorders. She is currently a PhD student studying voice disorders in adolescent vocal performers at the University of Cincinnati.
